Show PRAISES SHDWiG AT THEC.-C. CON.: Judge TV. T. Snyder, president nf the California-Cornstock Consolidated Mining company, made the following statement last night: I visited the Califorip.-Comstock mine Friday and found many gratify-In? gratify-In? chances, both in ore indications and in betterment of equipment, than t a. trie time of my previous visit a month ago. On the 2:.0-root level in the Com-etock Com-etock No. 1 crosscut there is nearly A lull face of shipping ore of very high grade and quality. No. 2 is in tow-grade tow-grade ore in the sulphides in an upper up-per band of shale that may be expected ex-pected to ripen into shipping ore as soon as tile lime bed Is reached, which may be expected any day. There are three working faces exposed on that level of good shipping ere which may be expected to furnish ore of shiDping grade for many months to come. In the California workings consid- erable prospecting has been done and , more is under way. A large ton-nags ton-nags of lead ore of good shipping grade is exposed. On tile whole, the physical condition condi-tion of the mine is splendid. There was, however, a congestion of ore at the mine, owing to the Inability of teams to move it. This has been overcome over-come and in the next few days a sufficient number of teams will be at work to relieve this congestion and take care of the future output. The California-Cornstock is surely the making of a big mine, and as soon as the mine is fully opened, which should be early in the coming year, it may be expected to go Into the dividend divi-dend class and remain there Indefi-- Indefi-- nitely. |
