Show -A Summit f " . a&i By Donna Davenport By Donna Davenport Mr. and Mrs. Fred Whicker and Dr. and Mrs. Dee El Stapley accompanied the Cedar High School Student Government class to Salt Lake City Thursday for a three day stay to attend the Model U,N. Guest speaker this year was the U. N. Ambassador from Egypt. Summit students going with the Parowan High School group for the Model U.N. were Traycie and Holly Dalton. Gary Greg and Heather Whickr spent three days in Fillmore with their grandparents grand-parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Whicker and Kevin, Curtis and Amanda Whicker stayed here with grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Jay Davenport during their parents stay in Salt Lake City. Friday Kevin Whicker and Gina Colesby traveled to Salt Lake City with their Parowan 7th grade class where they enjoyed visiting many interesting places. Friday evening Mrs. Kenneth Rowley entertained by having a bridal shower honoring a niece, Miss Lorna Rowley of Parowan, at her home here. Many friends and relatives enjoyed games and refreshments. The bride to be received a number of here. Also here for the special event from Parowan were grandparetns, Mr. and Mrs. Glade Smith and great grandmother, Mrs. Miriam Moore and others too numerous to mention. Visitors at the Jay Davenport home during the week were Jay's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Robinson of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Williams of Kanarra. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Farrow enjoyed having their young grandson Joshua, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Farrow of Salt Lake City, here to spend a few days while his parents were vacationing at Lake Powell. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dalley visited with a sister, Mrs. Hazel Granger in Cedar City Friday. Mrs. Helen Richards spent Sunday with her daughter and family the Ricke Edwards Ed-wards in Greenville. She was accompanied by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith. Miss Teri Stapley an SUSC student from Big Pine, Calif, spent Sunday here with her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stapley. Mr. and Mrs. Gayland Farrow entertained at an open house in their lovely new home on Sunday afternoon af-ternoon of last week where delicious refreshments were served. Many people from here and surrounding communities attended. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hulet are home after a three weeks absence, lovely gifts. The six week old infant son of Mr. and Mrs. David Dalley is home and well again after a six days stay in the VVMC, seriously ill with pneumonia. The baby tecame ill while the family was in Emery for a weekend stay with Mrs. Dalley's folks, the Merlin Christiansens. Two beautiful infants were blessed in Sacrament " meeting Sunday with numerous out of town friends and relatives in attendance. Darryl Wade, little son of Mr. and Mrs. Darryl Davenport and Camille, baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Craig White. Following the meeting, family gatherings and dinners were enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Davenport entertained grandparents J and family members, Mr. and Mrs. Vergean Porter and Clint of Escalante, Kevin Porter and Lori Lyman SUSC students, also from here. Great-grandparents, Great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dalley. Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Jay Davenport. Daven-port. Also Mr. and Mrs. Fred Whicker and family and Mr. and Mrs. Dannie Condie and family. Mr. and Mrs. Dee White enjoyed having all their family home for the weekend and to see their first grandchild blessed. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Fen-stermaker Fen-stermaker came from Provo. Annette a SUSC student from Cedar City joined Carolyn, Cindy, Herbie and the Craig Whites |
