Graveside Services held for Joan Walker Graveside services were held May 4 at the Cedar City Cemetery for Mrs. DeLan (Joan) Walker, under the direction of Boyer Southern Utah Mortuary. Born Jan. 31, 1894, in Halldane, 111. She married DeLan Walker May 27, 1929. They lived in California for several years before moving back to Cedar City where they made their home until his death in 1946. Two years later she moved back to Los Angeles until her death. She is survived by a niece, Mrs. George (Barbara) Ellings, a nephew, Larry Kollin and a brother-in-law, A. V. Kollin, all of the Los Angeles area. ' Also surviving are four sisters-in-law: Ruth W. Chinn, San Leandro; Emlyn W. Gray, Berkley, Calif.; Carol W., Browning and Gertrude W. McCaughey, Cedar City. Traveling from California for the services was Mrs. Ellings and Mrs. Larry Kollin. Services were conducted by Bishop Charles Esplin. Opening prayer was by Arthur C. Brown. President Dan Crawford was the speaker and the grave was dedicated by Rulon Woodbury. |
