Show Shakespear named to school board Kenneth Everett (Rett) Shakespear has been named to the Iron County School Board. Shakespear will fill the unexpired term of Robert Jay Overson who resigned in April due to his moving from the district. Shakespear will fill the School Precinct 5 vacancy through the end of the current year. The post will be up for election in November for a four-year four-year term. The new board member is a native of Boulder, Utah. He graduated from Bryce Valley High School and attended at-tended Weber State College in Ogden and Southern Utah State College in Cedar City. He has been affiliated with the food service industry for the past 14 years. Currently he is manager of the Town and Country Restaurant in Cedar City, a position he has held since 1972. Prior to that he was affiliated for four years with the Food Service at SUSC and for four years was in charge of housing and food service at Dixie College in St. George. Wrhile in St. George Shakespear was on the board of directors of the Jaycees and he is currently on the Board of Directors of the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce where he is in charge of the Tourist Accomodations Committee. Active in the LDS Church he has served as Bishop of the Cedar Sixth Ward and was sustained as a member of the newly created Cedar North Stake Presidency recently, a position he currently holds. Shakespear is married to the former for-mer Christine Jennings of Henrieville. They have four children, Kenneth, Stephanie, Michelle and Toni Lynn. V RETT SHAKESPEAR - |
