Show Parowan Lions Club Names Winners In Lighting Contest J. W. Moore, chairman of the Parowan . Lions Club Chrismas decorating committee, 'announces 'announc-es the winners in the contest which was Judged Sunday evening eve-ning by a group representing civic organizations in the city. There was an extra large number num-ber of residents participating In the contest this year with many beautiful displays. The Judging committee selected the three prize winners and then went on to list other outstanding displays: The home of Melva Barton In Paragonah was named as first prize winners, with Mr. and Mrs. iayle Wood awarded second prize, and Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Caldwell winning third place. Special mention went to the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Don Ap-plegate, Ap-plegate, Mr. and Mrs. Rulan Dalton. Dal-ton. and Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Robb In Paragonah. Honorable mention was given to the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Rasmussen, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stubbs, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Halterman, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miekelson, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Rowley, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Lister, Lis-ter, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Dalton and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Fife in Summit. Also Mr. and Mrs. Roland Ro-land Holyoak, Mr. and Mrs. Brent Talbot, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Adams, Mrs. Artel Rasmussen, and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Davenport, Daven-port, Paragonah. And there were scores of other homes which were decked with Christmas lights to add to the appearance of the community during the holiday season. |
