Cedar City was blanketed blanket-ed with snow Monday morning, much to the surprise of almost everyone in the area. The storm which dumped approximately approx-imately 8 inches of snow in Cedar City was as high as 10 inches in some areas and brought to an end the blissful fall temperatures that had previously pre vailed. Temperatures dropped to as low as 16 degrees below zero and most important import-ant the .32 of an inch of moisture. Main Street was somewhat isolated early Monday Mon-day when this picture was taken, but in spite of the weather the usual "day before be-fore Christmas" shoppers flocked to town.
