JAMES ROBINSON Parowan Literary Club Ladies Hold Party Christmas decorations adorned the home of Mrs. Albert Adams as she welcomed members of the Parowan Literary Club to her home, the occasion being the annual an-nual Christmas party, held on Dec. 19. Mrs. Clair Hulet and Mrs. Hills Orton were co-hostesses for the evening's entertainment, it . is announced by Mrs. Thos. G. Barton, club publicity chairman. All of the ladies were happy to welcome back a club member, Mrs. J. Harold Mitchell. Mrs. Mitchell and her husband have Just returned home after serving a two-year LDS mission in the Hawaiian Islands. During the evening Mrs. Mitchell gave a report re-port of her activities while away. Mrs. Wiscomb and Mrs. Pearl' Rursell were special guests for the evening. Mrs. Thales Brown, club president, presi-dent, presided over a short business bus-iness session, reminding members mem-bers of the clothing drive the first two weeks in January. The entertainment for the evening, eve-ning, furnished by the hostesses. Included Christmas music and a part of the birth, life and works of Jesus, the Christ. At the conclusion of the report refreshments and Christmas candy can-dy were served, and gifts were I exchanged by the ladies present. On Dec. 29, the club members will invite their partners to the annual New Year's party. Mrs. Herman E. Bayles Is chairman for this event and announced that that It would be held at the Bel Air Cafe. |
