Show I PARAGONAH NEWS NOTES Mrs. Hllma Lamor.aux Mr. and Mrs. Dean Robinson and two little girls of Tatt, Calif. arrived here late Thursday to spend the Christmas holidays with the H. Revere Robinsons and with Marsha's people in Paro-wn. Paro-wn. Early Friday the Revere Robinsons Ro-binsons and Dean Robinsons left for Manti and Spring City to attend the wedding festivities for Idella'a nephew .Harold La-nae La-nae Mickel. Mr. Mickel spoke marriage vows with Miss Jean Swapp of Carlin, Nevada in the Manti Temple on Friday. A wedding wed-ding breakfast followed In Spring City and a reception was held there In the evening. The Robinsons Robin-sons returned to Paragonah late Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Legrande Leigh and Vergene Jones of Ogden arrived ar-rived here last week to spend the holidays with the Blaine Jones family. J. B. Jones came from Provo to join the family group. Mrs. Emma Topham became quite ill on Tuesday and was admitted ad-mitted to the Iron County hospital hospi-tal for a few days' treatment. She was well enough to return home Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Will Robb and son Legrande left for Salt Lake City Friday after the elder Mr. Robb became quite ill with a bleeding stomach ulcer. He is r?ported to be somewhat improved. improv-ed. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Engle-stead Engle-stead of St. George are here to spend Christmas with their daughter, Mrs. Gwen Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Engles'tead of Henderson, Nev. and Mrs. Bonnie Bon-nie Lamoreaux of El Centro, Calif, Ca-lif, were Sunday visitors at the Jones home. Neil Clove of Pangultch visited here Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Robinson. Mr. Clove and Mrs. Robinson are cousins. Mr. and Mrs. Alan Nielsen and small son of Salt Lake City are here for a holiday visit with the Arthur Evans family. Mr. and Mrs. Burgess Robinson and baby of Murray have come to southern Utah for the holiday. They are visiting with the K. Doyle Robinsons here and with Jerri's people In Enterprise. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G. Top-ham Top-ham and sons, Lee Arlen and Lynn Kay, left for Salt Lake City early Sunday to spend Christmas with their sons Kenneth Ken-neth and Joe and the latter's wife and baby. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Burton and three babies of Logan arrived ar-rived here on Friday to spend the holidays with Laura's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Errol Lamoreaux. The Clyde Lamoreaux family have come from Midvale to spend Christmas here and with Helen'a folks in Pa rowan. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Anderson and children of Kanab were Saturday Sa-turday visitors at the home of Jim'a parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Stones and son Dwlght left for Lander, Wyo., early Saturday to enjoy Christmas with their son-in-law and daughter Alden and Eleanor Hyatt and their children. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lund, daughter Gayle, and Miss Clara Mae Allison left for Lander, Wyo. on Saturday in order to be with their daughter, Mrs. Betty Smith and her husband Victor and the children for the holidays. Mrs. Elizabeth Maxwell has gone to visit with relatives in j Cedar City while the Lunds are I in Wyoming. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Manzlone and children of Tooele arrived here Sunday afternoon to spend Christmas at the H. Revere Robinson Ro-binson home. Three young missionaries from Enoch occupied the time In Sac- rament meeting on Sunday. They I were Worth Grimshaw, Leon j Maxwell and Val Dean Williams. I An unusually large crowd of ladies attended the Relief Society So-ciety Christmas social held on Tuesday of last week. Corsage were given as favors and an In; teresting program was presented; also tasty refreshments were served and gifts were exchanged. The Primary Lihoma girls and their teachers enjoyed a holiday party on Monday evening of last week. The home of Gaynote leader, lead-er, Mrs. Joan Davenport was the scene of the festive affair. Mrs. Bertha S. Topham spent a day in St. George recently with her son, Ivan and his family. Mrs. Anna Ganung of Oneonta, New York, l here visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tho-mas A. Robinson. Mrs. Gaming flew to Salt Lake City on Dee. 15 and visited there with her sisters until Friday when she came to Paragonah. Mr. and Mrs. Melvyn Jones and children of Pocatello, Ida., have come for a holiday visit be divided between Mel's mo- ther, Mrs. Gwen Jones and the Ward Mortensen home in Paro-. wan. Mrs. Yvonne Low and members mem-bers of her family pf Beaver visited vi-sited at the James H. Anderson home on two different days last week. A number of Paragonah people' were in Pa rowan Friday evening to attend the Robinson-Halter-man wedding reception. |
