I T-Birds Enjoy Brief Respite from Hoop Wars The College of Southern Utah Thunderbird basketball team has taken a well-earned break from the hardcourt wars during the Christmas holiday season. Coach Boyd Adams turned the team members loose over the holidays after the Dixie tournament tourna-ment this past week, to return January 1 to begin preparation for opening the Intermountain Collegiate Athletic Conference competition. The Thunderbirds will open conference play on the road with a game scneduled against the Ricks Vikings at Rexburg, Ida. on Friday, Jan. 4. On January 12, the T-Birds will be at St. George to meet the Rebels and the team will not return for a home game until January 18 when they are slated to meet Snow College.
