Show Cedar City Studies Need for Full-time Mechanic Preparations are being made by the Cedar City Corporation to hire a full-time mechanic to work with all of the departments of the city, It was announced by Mayor Kumen Gardner. A recent survey conducted by the city over the past six months has revealed that $465 per month has been expended by the city for mechanical work not handled by city employees. The figures include only labor and did not Include the cost of parts or materials. ma-terials. The expenditure average also Included part-time help that was hired to accomplish tasks that a full-time mechanic would be able to do, the mayor said. It Is the Intention of the city that the mechanic would be located lo-cated at the city sheds on North Main Street. Some preliminary construction work will be necessary, neces-sary, Including the pouring of a cement floor for the v?ork section, sec-tion, the installation of a work bench -and some minor expenditures expendi-tures to facilitate the operation.
