Show Scout Court of Honor Award Goes to Second Ward Troop At the December Court of Hon- h- B. ..- k Brian Head District of the Utah Parks Council, held in Paragonah on Sunday evening, It was announced an-nounced that the Parowan Second Sec-ond Ward Troop No. 349. led by Dyle Adams, scoutmaster, was the winner for attendance and activity in scouting at this honor court This made the third time that this troop had won this honor and they were therefore declared the permanent winner of the trophy awarded by the district troop committee. This troop as the winner of last month's contest con-test and has been very consistent in scout work In the Parowan Stake according to W. Clair Row-ley, Row-ley, advancement chairman. S. M. Cla.-k, district chairman, presided at the Sunday evening honor court and Mr. Rowley conducted. con-ducted. Other members of the district committee present were James Bates and F. C. Van Bu-ren. Bu-ren. The Boy Scouts of Troop No. 331, Paragonah Ward, conducted the opening and closing exercises under the direction of Kay Lam-oreaux Lam-oreaux of the Paragonah Ward, Bishopric. I Advancements and merit bad-, ges were awarded as follows: j Troop 331, Randy Lamoreaux( and Jerald Davenport, Life awards, and Bradley Orton, Second Sec-ond Class award. Merit Badges' ( went to J. George Williamson,1 Clinton Topham, Lynn K. Top-j ham and Arnold Lister. . Troop 335, Enoch Ward. Merit badges: C. Brent Jones, Charles R. Garfield. Grant Sherratt and ' Mark K. Nelson. j Troop 343, Parowan Second: Merit badges: Kenneth Walori, Jud Hendrlckson, Gary Cart-wright. Cart-wright. Garth Decker. Larry Orton, Or-ton, Gall F. Benson and Robert A Rowley. The latter also was warded his First Class badge. Troop No. 349, Second Ward. . Merit badges: Fred Orton. Larry Smith, Nolan Truman, Michael Prttehard, Ph.Jlip Burt, Wayne Stubbs.
