Browning, 18, of Cedar Ce-dar City is reported in fair condition condi-tion Wednesday at the Dixie Memorial Hospital in St. George from injuries received in a single car automobile accident Saturday Satur-day night. Miss Browning, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Browning of Cedar City, was reported in critical cri-tical condition Saturday when admitted the the St. George hospital, hos-pital, but has shown marked improvement im-provement from a skull fracture and other head and face injuries. The family reports that they expect ex-pect to bring her home sometime this week end. The accident occurred approximately approx-imately three miles south of Virgin Vir-gin in Washington County on Utah Highway 15. Highway Patrolman Pa-trolman investigating indicated that she apparently lost control of the car she was driving. It turned over once and came to rest next to an embankment. Miss Browning was thrown ap- prximately 28 feet from the car. The car was isolated from observation ob-servation and only a reflector attracted at-tracted the attention of Ralph Dickman of Rockville, who notified noti-fied the Highway Patrol. An investigation in-vestigation of the report proved to be an Important factor in Miss Browning's favor. It was apparent appar-ent that the accident might not have been discovered because of the fact that the car was not visible vis-ible from the highway. The accident occured at approximately ap-proximately 9:30 p. m. and was discovered by the Highway Patrol Pa-trol approximately 15 minutes later at 9:45 p. m. |
