Show Cedar City Social Swing CHERE AMIES The April 21st meeting of the Chere Amies club was held at the home of hostess, Lapreal Lunt. Club ladies who met at the home and one guest, Arvilla Marsden, heard a book report on the contemporary con-temporary story of a young Chinese girl who spent many years subjected to the rule of the Red Chinese. The book entitled "The Eighth Moon," is by Sansan as told by her sister, Betty Lord. Presenting the story was Alice Peterson. Twelve ladies enjoyed a mld-mornljig mld-mornljig brunch last Thursday at the home of Mrs. Tommy Leavltt. Mrs. Leavltt served several fruit-cups fruit-cups and a variety of rolls to her guests, Mrs. Wesley Mullett, Mrs Floyd Matheson, Mrs. Glade Sor-ennon. Sor-ennon. .Mrs., Bill Tcpham, Mrs. Dee 'Smith, Mrs. ; Reed Berrett, Mrs. Richard Rice, Mrs. Forrest Hunter, Mrs. MacRay Bulloch and Mrs. Roger Esplin. PINENUTS Plnenuts club members met Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Max Hamilton. Co-hostesses with Mrs. Hamilton were Mrs. Paul Skabelund and Mrs. Dale Peterson. Peter-son. The ladies spent their time after a luncheon enjoying parlor games. Winning game prizes were Mrs. Morris Dannelly and Mrs. Jack Shumate. After 45 yep.rr, Mrs. D. Woodbury and daughter, who accompanied her on the three-day trip. Week end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Peck have been Mrs. Peck's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Gale Wright, along with their friends, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Romyn of Salt Lake City. Also visiting from Bountiful, Utah were Mr. Peck's parents and a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dell Peck and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Peck, respectively. |
