Show Couple Re-elected To Serve Council Committee Elections to name two members mem-bers to the central committee of the Cedar City Coordinating Council were held Wednesday evening April 21. Re elected to serve their second three-year terms on the central committee were Kerry Jones and Mrs. D. W. Corry. Jones has served as chairman of the Central Committee for the past year and one half and Mrs. Corry was recently named as vice chairman. The Central Committee will be reorganized for the coming year at the next meeting of the group, it is understood. The election was conducted at a general meeting of the Coordinating Coor-dinating Council which featured a presentation by the Beautifl-cation Beautifl-cation Committee. It was indicated that May 6, 7 and 8 had been set by the committee com-mittee as a target date for the 1965 beautlflcation program and efforts are being made to continue contin-ue the general cleanup campaign cam-paign which got underway last year. Ernest Reldlebach, publicity chairman of the committee, presented pre-sented a short movie of situations situa-tions that exist In and around Cedar City and Wallace Sjob-lom, Sjob-lom, Iron County Extension agent, presented an illustrated lecture on various points In need of Improvement throughout the county. Also shown were projects undertaken un-dertaken last year indicating steps that can be taken and the improvement witnessed by th efforts of various ward and neighborhood groups In the program pro-gram of landscape beautlflcation. |
