Show Croft's Lumber Co. Takes Timber Bid of Forest Service The Croft Lumoer company, operators of a sawmill on the Dixie national forest, was the successful bidder for approximately approxi-mately 3 million board feet of Western yellow pine timber on the forest, when bidding was conducted in the offices of the forest service in Cedar City on Monday. The Croft company bid was $10.15 per thousand board feet. Bids for the timber, all on a 2,500 acre tract in the Strawberry Straw-berry Knolls district of the for-est, for-est, had been asked for by the forest service, and although several sev-eral bidders were in attendance only one other bid was submitted. submit-ted.
