Show News ilbout Town By Mrs. Ralph Box Mrs. Elias Leigh, vice com- mander of the American Legion auxiliary, with Mrs. F. A. Esplin, chaplain, accompanied Mrs. Idel- la Bateman of St. George to Ka- nab Monday to attend the joint meetings of the Panguitch, Lng Valley and Kanab units. Mrs. Piatt Watson, Cedar City, State Department president, presided at the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. James Hoyle, and Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Adams, returned re-turned early in the week from a vacation trip to San Francisco. Mrs. G. F. Cowan is visiting in Salt Lake City for a few ee';s. Miss Carolyn Endsley, Miss Ann Tarkinson and Bruce Mace spent last week at home during dur-ing the spring vacation at Wasatch Wa-satch academy .vhere they are studying. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Yergensen returned early this week from a short trip to California. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Murphy-left Murphy-left Monday for a vacation trip to Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Strate of Salt Lake City arrived Wednesday Wednes-day for a few days visit in Cedar City with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Strate. To complete the family gathering Mr. and Mrs. Abel Strate of Columbia visited here for a few days. Claude Halsell of San Bernardino, Bernar-dino, Calif., is visiting here with his son, Claude Halsell, Jr., and family. Mrs. Criss Mason, Jr., left Tuesday Tues-day evening for San Diego, Calif, having been called to the California Cali-fornia city because of the sudden sud-den illness of her father. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Staniford and four sons, formerly of Provo, have moved to Cedar City to make their hrme. They will reside re-side at 515 South 225 West street. |
