Show 4-H Scholarship Won By Barbara Grimshaw oi Enoch jVjT I . jl , ; Barbara Grimshaw. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Grimshaw of Enoch, received word early this week that she had been chosen by the Union Pacific Railroad as the recipient of the Carl Raymond Ray-mond Gray scholarship awarded to the outstanding 4-H girl In the county this year. The scholarship, which will be awarded at the Cedar City high j school awards assembly near the end of the academic year, can be used in an of the agricultural agri-cultural colleges of the state. Miss Grimshaw stated that she plans to use the scholarship at the Branch Agricultural college. col-lege. Miss Grimshaw, a senior student stu-dent at the Cedar City high school, has been an active member mem-ber of the FIIA club at the school, and has been a member of the "Chums" 4-H club of Enoch for ight years, which is an honor fin itself in that each of the club members has received some sort of state recognition. I Receiving state honors in 4-H club work herself, Miss Grimshaw Grim-shaw received a gold watch for her home freezing record at the Utah State Fair in 1952. Shirley Robinson of Paragonah was selected as alternate for the I scholarship, it was announced. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Revere Robinson. Two Carl Raymond Gray scholarships scho-larships are awarded by the railroad in Iron county, one to the outstanding boy and one to the outstanding girl of the county coun-ty in this work. I |
