Show Nile River Exploits Film, Lecture Scheduled for Cedar "Kayaks Down The Nile", a colored motion picture film of a trip down the Nile river in Africa, Afri-ca, which was to have been 1 shown in Cedar City this week, I but was postponed because of a conflict with the Branch Agricultural Agri-cultural college opera, has been set for Monday, March 30, and will be shown at 8 p. m. in the public school auditorium. The colored motion picture, J filmed by John M. Goddard of Salt Lake City and two companions, compan-ions, on an amaing 4200 mile trio down the Nile, is being shown in Cedar City under the sponsorship of the Cedar Stake M I A as a means of raising funds for the proposed new Stake and ward chapel. Tickets are now being sold, and indications are that a huge crowd will be in attendance. at-tendance. A charge of $1.00 for adults and 50c for children is being be-ing made. Experts term the trip made by Mr. Goddard and his companions as humanly impossible, since the course of the river leads through jungle country of Africa that had never before been seen by white man. However, Goddard made the trip successfully and brought back motion pictures of the interior, in-terior, the natives and the wild animals never before filmed. Those who have seen the film report that it is tremendously Interesting and educational. |
