"Urgency of the cancer fund appeal and the educational program pro-gram in conjunction with it cannot can-not be over emphasized." Mrs. Berrett declared. "We are living today in an en of fear of surprise sur-prise atomic or hydrogen bomb attack on the United States. To guard against this threat, our government is spending billions of dollars annually for national defense: This civilization-shattering attack may we hope never materialize. "But our country is faced with another deadly attack that is not just a threat. It Is a grim reality. Last year cancer killed 230,000 men, women and children in the U. S."
