Show Local Sheep Raisers File Suit With Govt, for Loss Convinced that atomic fallout from the experiments at Yucca Flats in Nevada two years ago was the direct cause of heavy loss to sheep herds grazing in adjacent areas, and not at all satisfied with the efforts made by the Atomic Energy Commission Commis-sion and the government to resolve re-solve the problem, local livestock live-stock people have filed suit against the government to collect damages. Five suits involving , claims of $176,964 have been filed In the case. The complaints were filed in I Federal District Court in Salt Lake Citv. and allege that gov- . ernment agents "negligently per-, per-, formed, conducted, discharged, , and executed such nuclear tests and experiments causing dam-r dam-r age to the plaintiffs." Plaintiffs in the suits and the amount of damage each is seeking seek-ing are as follows: Nelson Webster, $29,864; Douglas Doug-las Corry, $24.S45; David C, Mc-Rae Mc-Rae N., and Kern Bulloch, $34,-180; $34,-180; Lillian Clark, administratrix administra-trix of the estate of Douglas C. Clark, $64,233. and A. G. Soeg-miller Soeg-miller and Myron Iligbee, $23,-845. |
