THEROL McARTHUR Mrs. Jerry Crippt was hostess to members of her dub at her home Thursday at a pinochle party honoring Mrs. 1 nna Wood a member who Is le wing town this week end to mal her home In California. Two sp cial guests were Mrs. Angus ?'urner and Mrs. Mary Moiris. Delicious refreshments re-freshments were served and prizes awarded Mrs. Dorothy Thuet, Mrs. Catherine Stout and Mrs. Bonnie Cripps. Mrs. Ren Taylor was pleasantly pleasant-ly surprised on her birthday last week by a group of her friends who brought her a birthday gift and cake, and dropped "in to spend the morning with her. Those present were Mrs. Nelson Bulloch, Mrs. Therol McArthur, Mrs. Forrest Anderson and Mrs. Harry Hair and Roger, Betty Jo and Marily Hair. Tuesday the same group met at the home of Mrs. McArthur to help her blow out the candles on her birthday cake. Mrs. Gordon Sorenson was hostess to the members of her club at her home Thursday evening. eve-ning. Two special guests were Mrs. Lynette Fife and Mrs. Ar-lene Ar-lene Williams. The group spent the evening playing "500" with top prizes going to Mrs. Mar-celene Mar-celene Mathews and Mrs. Williams. Wil-liams. A light luncheon was served at the close of the evening. The Sixth Ward MIA officers offi-cers entertained the members of the cast of their annual road show at a cake and punch party in the kitchen of the chapel fol-j fol-j lowing their last local appearance appear-ance Tuesday evening in their skit, "Mr. Sandman." |
