Show PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, the services of the Red Cross are those simple acts of kindness which we, ourselves, would perforin for our neighbors If we knew they needed our help, and WHEREAS, Red Cross help often of-ten spells the difference between despair ani hope to our neighbors neigh-bors who are faced with problems prob-lems they cannot cope with alone, and WHEREAS, our neighbors may be a serviceman's family who need counsel, guidance, and financial fi-nancial assistance or they may be disaster victims who need help in getting back on their feet, and - WHEREAS, our neighbors may be the sick whose lives depend on the availability of blood, or they may bo those injured in auto au-to accidents whose lives are saved by Red Cross First Aid, and WHEREAS, through our membership mem-bership in the Red Cross we are not alone when we give help and when we seek help, and WHEREAS, our support makes Red Cross services possible, now THEREFORE, I, Arnold Anderson, Ander-son, Mayor of the City of Cedar City, proclaim the month of March, 195r, as RED CROSS MONTH and do here and now urge all citizens of this community commu-nity to contribute generously to the 1955 Red Cross Campaign for members and funds throughout local Red Cross chapter; and I further urge that all men and women of good will remember that this great humanitarian organization or-ganization symbol of man's humanity to man must remain strong to guide those who turn to it in time of need. When you join the Red Cross this year, urge your relatives, friends, and neighbors to become members. ARNOLD ANDERSON, Mayor Cedar City, Utah. |
