Show Cub Scouts Meet To Plan Program for March An oranlzatlon and planning meeting of the Cub Scouters of Cedar City was held Thursday evening, Feb. 21 to plan the activities of -the Cub Scout program pro-gram for the month of March, according to Howard Stokes, Cubmaster. Stokes conducted the meeting and announced that five Dens had been organized. It is anticipated, an-ticipated, however, that eight will be organized before the end of the month. At the present time the organization has nine Den Mothers. In attendance at the meeting was Carlos Taylor, representing the sponsoring Klwanls Club of Cedar City. Also attending was Chester McVay, scout commissioner com-missioner from the Utah Parks Council. Den meetings are held each week and once a month, the fourth Thursday, the Dens meet In a Pack meeting at Hotel El Escalante Ballroom. Plans were laid for an Award night for the March meeting set for Thursday, March 24. Stokes Indicated that any boys, between the ages of 8 and 10 Inclusive, In-clusive, who are Interested In the program could contact him for the necessary information and for registration. He also encouraged encour-aged mothers Interested In becoming be-coming Den Mothers to contact him. A similar planning meeting is held each month to plan the activities of the coming month. |
