Show LDS Seminary Stages Talent Presentation, Dance A three-day festival featuring a dance and some of the top talent tal-ent In Cedar City will be staged by the Cedar Ciry LDS Seminary Semin-ary on Friday, Mar. 5, and Tuesday Tues-day and Wednesday, Mar. 8 and 9. On Saturday, Mar. 5, the fun fest will be inaugurated with a giant, stake-wide dance at the new stake house. The affair Is being staged as a student-directed effort toward the completion of the stake house and it is expected to net the building fund several hundred dollars while at the same time providing the area with some excellent entertainment. The Tuesday and Wednesday evening portion of the three-day event will feature talent cf the community at the Parks Theatre in connection with a special showing of "The Stars and Stripes Forever." Top Talent Numbers This variety program will feature: fea-ture: The Master Singers, outstanding out-standing male chorus of Cedar City; Patty Petty, In a comedy act, Christine Houchen Winter-rose, Winter-rose, outstanding vocalist; The Tradesmen, nationally recognized recogniz-ed male quartet; John Davis, vocal vo-cal student at Ihe College of Southern Utah; Alan Seegmlller, versatile music student of wide popularity; Sandra Wood and Michael Frame, popular high school dancing team; Don Knight and Richard Hansen, readings, and The Singing Strings, assembled assem-bled under the direction of Roy L. Halversen. Tickets are now on sale at the Candy Kitchen, the Seminary, or they may be purchased at the dance or the theatres. Tickets are 50 cents for children chil-dren under 12, $1.00 for students $1.50 for adults and $5.00 for a family ticket. The Seminary wishes to emphasize that these tickets entitle the purchaser to attend both the dance and one performance of the variety show and motion picture. |
