Show Committees Report fit Meeting of Coordinating Council Reports from two of the functioning func-tioning committees cf the Cedar City Coordinating Council and the introduction of a new member, mem-ber, Dr. Royden C. Braithwaite, director of the College of Southern South-ern Utah, were the three principal princi-pal items on the agenda of the council meeting held Thursday. Reports were given by the Safety Safe-ty Committee, Al Jensen, chairman, chair-man, and the Cedar City National Nation-al Art Exhibit Committee, Dr. Reed W. Famsworth, chairman. Dr. Braithwaite was introduced to the council as a new member representing the C S U, according accord-ing to A. W. Stephenson, chairman chair-man of the council. Jensen, in his report from the safety committee, told the members mem-bers of the council that plans 'are going forward to remove obstructions ob-structions from several "blind" corners that are prevalent In the community. Also, a matter for concern dealing with parking at the boys' dormitory on the campus of C S U has been brought to the attention of college col-lege officials, Jersen said. Plans for the 15th annual Spring Art Exhibit to be held on April 17 through May 1 were told by Dr. Farnsworth. He explained that invitations to artists to participate par-ticipate have already been sent out. Arrangements have been completed to hang the exhibit in the C S U Memorial Fieldhouse again this year, he said. The meeting was the first for the council since the first of the year. |
