Show Enterprise to Feature Two-day Home-coming Fete A two-day Enterprise Homecoming Home-coming celebration, sponsored by the Hunt-Hiatt Post No. 80 of the American Legion will be held Friday and Saturday, July 24 and 25. Highlight of the celebration will be a night rodeo each evening eve-ning at 8:30 o'clock. On July 24, the official celebration cele-bration will open with a pioneer program at 10 a. m. During the afternoon children will participate partici-pate in games, races and dancing. danc-ing. Each evening horse races will be held prior to the rodeo and each evening following the rodeo a dance will be held. Reigning over the two-day event will be Mrs. Jean Barnum, an American Legion auxiliary member, with Donna Rae Balen and Lana Holt as her attendants. The queen and her attendants were chosen on the basis of 1 horsemanship, appearance and personality. According to the latest reports the recent rais in the Enterprise Enter-prise area have contributed in putting the rodeo grounds in ex-cellent ex-cellent shape. The American Legion Le-gion has been working hard to make this one of the most outstanding out-standing events of Enterprise's history and hope to make it the biggest of the 30 prior rodeos held for the annual celebration. The committee in charge of arrangements ar-rangements is as follows: Cain Christensen, chairman, with Kent Simkins, Alma Holt, Voy Sorenson and Ted Twitchell as committeemen. |
