Show Livestock Committee Adds Cattle Sale To Show Calendar A new feature is to be added to the annual Southern Utah Livestock Show this year, according accord-ing to Kumen S. Gardner, show manager, when an auction sale of breeding cattle will be conducted con-ducted on the second day of the show. This is the first time that a sale of breeding cattle has been conducted at the show, although al-though a breeding sheep sale has been a regular part of the show for the past several years. Only breeding heafers will be offered this year, Mr. Gardner says, with cattle breeders throughout southern Utah eon-signing eon-signing heifers to the sale. Two classes will be offered including purebred Hereford weaner heifers and bred heifers. The committee in charge of the sale will be E. S. Gardner, St. George, chairman; Waldon Isom, Cedar City, co-chairman; Fred Biederman, Clarence Lamoreaux, Darrell Matthews and Dr. John Beal, Cedar City; Bill Wood Min-ersville; Min-ersville; Wallace Yardley, Beaver; Bea-ver; Wallace Houston, Panguitch and Evan Woodbury, St. George, members. The heifer auction sale will follow immediately after the auction sale of breeding sheep on the second day of the show, Friday, Sept. 11. |
