Show Pioneer Day Celebration Plans Readied With the Elizabeth and Paulina Pau-lina camps of the Daughters of Pioneers in charge, July 24, Utah's Pioneer Day, will be observed ob-served here with a public meeting meet-ing at 11 a. m. followed by a luncheon at noon, and with an open house in the afternoon. . These events will all be held in the Old Rock Church, with the meeting and luncheon to be held in the basement assembly rooms and the open house to take place in both the basement rooms and the lelic hall upstairs. People are Uiged to attend and view the many priceless pioneer relics the local camps have on display in the building. These events will be followed by a children's dance at 2:30 in the recreation hall. At 5 p. m. the people of Parowan Paro-wan Stake are invited to join with the residents of Paragonah in a carnival to be held on the Paragonah chapel grounds where games, contests and refreshment refresh-ment booths will be operated. This carnival is for the purpose of raising funds for the Paragonah Para-gonah ward building fund. The final event of the day will be a big dance in the Brown Derby Der-by with music by Boyd Mitchell's Mitch-ell's orchestra, with the proceeds of the dance to be used for the purchase of playground equipment equip-ment for the proposed Parowan City park and playground. |
