Show Recreation Park Gets Scoreboard Courtesy Utah Construction Co. Patrons of the Pony, Women's Softball and Men's Softball leagues in Cedar City have had the advantage of a score board for the past week for the first time in the history of the Lions Softball park. Utah Construction Co. made the scoreboard, which carries the outs, strikes, balls and errors er-rors on a lighted panel plus the inning by inning score as the game progresses. Definitely lacking in the past years of the Softball Association's Associa-tion's history, the board, placed at the top of the bleachers, directly di-rectly behind home plate, will aid the spectators, as well as players in every way. In the past spectators who did keep accurate accur-ate calculations themselves were in the dark unless they ran to the scorer to check, and this usually us-ually happened evqry inning. The hats of the fans of Cedar City are off to thv Utah Construction Con-struction comapny for its contribution contri-bution to the recreation park. Incidentally In-cidentally the Utah Construction compay is sponsoring two teams in the Men's Softball league under un-der the names of Utah Construction Construc-tion and Desert Mound, and they are also sponsoring a pony league team in the younger baseball base-ball league. |
