Show Elks Rulers Score Two Wins in Second Half Games TEAM STANDINGS Elks 2 0 1.000 Lions 1 1 .500 Rotary 1 2 .333 Kiwanis 0 1 .000 In the opening game of the Little League in Cedar City after a 10 day layoff for all four clubs between the first and second halves, Elks Rulers scored their first victory against the Lion Tamers to the tune of 11 to 6 and Wednesday evening they added ad-ded another victory when they took the Rotary Rangers, first half winners, by a score of 18 to 10. In the other game of the week the Rotary Rangers came up with a completely onesided victory over the cellar dwelling Kiwanis Kubs. 14 to 2. Behind the pitching of Neil Gentry and Dwane Janes the Elks took a two inning eight to nothing lead over the Lions Monday Mon-day evening and although the Lions pushed across five runs in the third frame they never caught the Elks nine. Leigh Rosenberg Ro-senberg went all the way for the Lions. Line score of the game is as follows: Lions u u d u u i o Elks 1 7 0 3 0 x 11 The second victory of the sec-old sec-old haif for the Elks Rulers came at the hands of the Rotary Rangers. Ran-gers. The Rangers used three pitchers in an effort to stop the hard hitting Elks team but to no avail as the Rulers pushed across runs in every inning but the fourth. Taking a 3 to 0 lead In the first Inning the Elks were equaled in the second and topped top-ped 10 to 9 in the third. At this point the tide turned and the Elks poured on the steam both at bat and on the field to register reg-ister the 18 to 10 victory. Line score of the game is as follows: Elks 3 1 5 0 2 718 Rotary 0 4 6 0 0 0....10 Gary Anderson of the Rotary in Tuesday evening's game pitched that team to an impressive impres-sive victory over the Kiwanis Kubs 14 to 2. However, the Rangers, Ran-gers, hitting everything that was thrown were able to score in every inning to add to the splendid splen-did pitching of Anderson. Playing practically errorless ball, only two were committed by the Ro-tarians, Ro-tarians, the Rangers were a power pow-er at bat, leading the game all the way and were never really threatened.
