Show ENOCH AND WDVALLEY NOTES Mr. and Mrs. Barnard Mathe-1 son and family of Layton were visitors here for a few days last week. Mr. Matheson is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Matheson. Mr. and Mrs. Stanford Jones attended a Smith reunion in Salt Lake City last week end. Former Enoch residents who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Armstrong, Arm-strong, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Armstrong, Arm-strong, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Arm-. Arm-. strong and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Maxwell. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Jones spent Saturday at Pine Valley. Word has been received here of the birth of a baby boy to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Madrill of Los Angeles. Mrs. Madrill is the former for-mer Miss Lola Jones of Enoch, a daughter of Mrs. Maud Jones. Roy Baldwin of Bountiful is spending a few days visiting with the Gillian boys here. Mr. and Mrs. James Smith made a trip to Yerington, Nev., last Monday to take their daugh ter-in-law and children and to bring their son James Smith (Budi, home for a 30-day leave from military service. Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Grim-shaw Grim-shaw and family spent Wednesday Wednes-day at Grand canyon visiting with their daughter Barbara, who is working there this summer. The Enoch ward has arranged a program of events for the celebration cele-bration of Pioneer Day. At 11 a. m. a nice program will be presented pre-sented at the ward chapel, after which the townspeople will go to the Grimshaw lawn for sports and refreshments. The Enoch ward high priests and their partners, under the direction di-rection of Myron F. Jones and John Heaton, met at the home of Owen Matheson Sunday for an enjoyable evening. Refreshments were served and everyone joined in singing and telling experiences experi-ences of pioneer parents of persons per-sons present. |
