Show Marvin Halterman Passes In Provo Hospital Funeral services for Joseph Marvin Halterman, 33, were held Wednesday at 2 p. m. in the Parowan Par-owan Third ward chapel under the direction of A. Hills Orton, bishop of the First ward.. Mr. Halterman Hal-terman died Monday morning at a Provo hispital from a blood clot on his lungs. The deceased had been operated operat-ed on lor appendicitis a few weeks ago and had apparently recoveu'd and his death was unexpected. un-expected. Speakers were Bishop Hugh L. Adams, Mario Topham and Richard Rich-ard J. Halterman, the latter a resident of Provo. John Page offered of-fered the opening prayer, John II. Pendleton offered the benediction benedic-tion tnd at the cemetery the grave was dedicated by C. B. Crane of Cireleville, F. Warren Pendleton offered the prayer at the home. Musical numbers were the opening song, "Though Deepening Deepen-ing I rials" by a mixed group consisting of Wilford Young, Kent Marsden, Jeanette Bayles, Ethel Layles, Mary Dawn Dalton, and Zona P. Topham, accompanied, accompan-ied, by Barbara Jane Bayles; a violin solo, "One Fleeting Hour" by Elna Stubhs, with Ramo-na Ramo-na Stubbs at the piano, and the closing song, "Sometime We'll Understand" by the mixed group. Itha Mortensen played the organ prelude and postlude. Mr. Halterman was born in Parowan Jan. 3, 1920 a son of Joseph Marion and Ida Pendleton Pendle-ton Halterman, and resided here all of his life. He had been In ill health for several years. He is survived by his Mother, Mrs. Ida Halterman Smith, and the following sisters: Mrs. Lester (Alice) Gower, Cedar City; Mrs. Arlo (Georgia) Holyoak, Mrs. Jay (Maxine) Rog-erson, Rog-erson, Parowan; two half brothers, bro-thers, Clifton and Marion Halterman, Halter-man, Parowan; two half sisters, Bessie Halterman, Parowan, and Mrs. C. B. (Marie) Crane, Cireleville. |
