Show Woods Cross Wildcats set to climb ladder to success Woods Cross Wildcats will begin, "a new tomorrow" May 30, 7 p.m., at the Woods Cross Regional Center. The 408 graduates will receive diplomas from Board of Education Vice President Louenda Down and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Dean Penrod. Senior class president Ryan Creer will remind students of their involvement in Operation Desert Storm, and ask them to be willing to sacrifice and work hard. "Success is not a ladder, it's more like a mountain," he said. High honor student Allison Taylor will also speak of the Gulf War. "Just as Mr. Hawkins and others inconvenienced themselves to bring victory and help a downtrodden people, hopefully we can take time to help others," she said. Student body president, Jason Smith, will remind students to "do their own thing," by giving examples of students who have struggled to reach the goal of graduation. |
