DUP holds annual Jubilee The Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Davis Farmington Company, held its final meeting and luncheon May 6 at the home of Bemice Smith, president. Members of seven DUP camps comprising the Davis Farmington Farm-ington Company held their annual Jubilee at the Farmington City Hall on May 11. Virginia Semadeni and Ruth Gatrell were in charge of the program. Mary Johnson, former company president and now serving on the national board, installed new officers offi-cers who will take office on June 1. Zelda Tidwell is the new president presi-dent with Evelyn Wood, first vice president; Anna Olsen, second vice president; Myrna Hansen, secretarytreasurer; secre-tarytreasurer; Wanda Harker, historian; Patty Potter, registrar, Ardella Lawson, chaplain; Virginia Semadeni, chorister; Ruth Gatrell, organist; Virgie Rose, parliamentarian; parliamen-tarian; Ruth Bentley, hostess chairman; chair-man; Enid Seiger, relics chairman; and Thelma S. White, publicity and memorial. . Bernice Smith presented awards to the Helen Mar Miller Camp for the highest percentage of active members in attendance, Compton Bench Camp for recruiting the most new members during the past year and Helen Mar Miller Camp for turning in the most histories. Stephanie Eccles of the Haights Creek Camp was honored as the youngest member to attend. Zelda Tidwell, new company president, then presented "Women of Faith and Fortitude' pins to Irene Olsen, Maude Mayfield, Wanda Wood and Helen Sanderson, all outgoing board members. Other outgoing board members who had previously received this special award are: Bemice Smith, Maurine Rodgers, Ruth Gattrell and Beth Merrill. |
