Show Charles W. Hanna Charles Wray Hanna, age 60, died Aug. 21, 1990 at Antapagasta, Chile, where he was involved in the construction of a copper refinery. Bom April 22, 1930 in Spring Canyon, Utah to Charles Wray and Eleanor Faddis Hanna. He married Ardith Mae Sudweeks in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple Aug. 5, 1953. Charles served his country as a member of the Armed Forces during dur-ing the Korean War. He was a graduate of the Montana School of Mines in Butte, Montana in 1957 and attended Brigham Young University. Uni-versity. He was known throughout the world as one of the best metallergical engineers in his profession. pro-fession. He designed and built mineral min-eral refineries in several countries including Spain, Australia and Chile. Charles served as a missionary for the LDS Church in the West Central States mission. He served as a bishop of the North Jordan Second Se-cond Ward in Granger, and in the mission presidency of the South Australia mission. He was, for the past eight years, a temple worker in the LDS temple in Oakland, Calif. At the time of his death he was serving serv-ing as a counselor to the bishop in Antapagasta, Chile. Charles is survived by his wife, Ardith Mas; children Dariece Radford, Rad-ford, Karlene El i a son, all Salt Lake City; Charles Wesley Hanna, Bountiful; Boun-tiful; Paul Douglas Hanna, Dublin, Calif.; Gerolyn Hanna, mother Eleanor Hanna, both Provo; sisters, Karen Butler, Butte, Mont.; Joyce Stoddard, Calgary, Canada; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Aug. 25, at the Bountiful Eighth LDS Ward. Interment in the Lakeview Memorial Estates. |
