Show Fre restrictions lifted Fire restrictions placed on Utah's state, federal and private lands since July 1 were lifted Aug. 21. State forester, Dick Klason, made the announcement along with the National Forest and Bureau of Land Management "Lower temperatures, higher humidity and scattered showers statewide have enabled us to lift fire restrictions, said Klason, 'but the fire hazard remains moderate. We are still asking people to be very careful with campfires and any other fires. People may once again build campfires and smoke in the state's wildlands. However, fire officials caution that a return of higher temperatures and windy conditions will increase the fire hazard |
