Show ' Jailbirds' raise money for American Cancer Society BOUNTIFUL --The Jail-A-Thon held at 5-Points Mall last week generated ge-nerated over $9,000 for the American Cancer Society. Over 40 ' 'jailbirds' participated, asking various businesses to post bail money. Mel Harris of Lane Realty was just one of the participants. He rais-i rais-i ed over $ 1 ,000 in bail money. Some of the merchants and individuals in-dividuals who contributed to his release are: Benchmark Real Estate, Shiner and Co.
