Show CC signs contract for $60,000grant development company. Of the $60,000 granted by the EDA, $20,000 will go to attracting businesses to the park, and $40,000 will bo to the Cedar City Redevelopment Redevelop-ment Agency for revovation the downtown area of town. Cedar City recently signed a contract for a $60,000 grant from the Economic Development Agency. The money will be used to finace the first stages of the redevelopment project of downtown Cedar City and to begin the establishment of an industrial in-dustrial park. The contract was signed in a meeting between the city council and Mayor Jack Sawyers and Peter S. Cooke, director of the Utah Economic and Industrial Development Division on Sept. 22. The mayor and the city council also explored the possibility of establishing an industrial park on the west side of Cedar City. Sawyers said that the city currently has a major company looking at establishing a plant in Cedar City, but company officials desire an industrial in-dustrial park atmosphere. at-mosphere.
