Moon Lake Electric Assn. re-elects officers Approximatley 350 persons were in attendance at the annual meeting of Moon Lake Electric Association held at the Rdosevelt Junior High School, Saturday, to receive their annual report and participate in elections. During the balloting, members reelected re-elected three directors to serve another term. Elected were Willard 0. Wall, Randlett, District 4; Donald 0. Later the same day, the directors met in a special meeting and re-elected the officers of the Association, including in-cluding Calvin J. Monks, president; Lloyd C. Nelson, vice president; and Willard 0. Wall, secretary-treasurer. These officers will serve until the annual an-nual meeting next year. The format of the meeting was modified slightly this year in that the official report had been included in the annual report. In their place, questions submitted by the members in attendance at-tendance were answered at the meeting. These questions covered a wide range of topics, including "when is the next rate increase?" Steve A. Glaim, General Manager, stated that following notification of an increase in the wholesale power cost and after a detailed cost of service study, the Association is expecting to request an increase as of April 26. He assured the members that only the amount absolutely ab-solutely necessary for the financial stability of the Cooperative would be asked for. During the meeting door prizes were awarded to some 20 members. George Fisher, Jr., received the grand prize, a microwave oven. The activities before the meeting included a microwave oven demonstration, demon-stration, an electric safety demonstration, demon-stration, conservation exhibits, films, and a lunch served by the Socialette Club of Roosevelt. |
