Remington placed second at 8.93 in the op tional floor exercise and her teammate Keni Hacking nabbed first at 9.10. Uonvah gymnasts capture 2nd! place Gymnasts from Uintah Ilitfh School picked up second place honors in the compulsory division of the Uintah-Mountain Uintah-Mountain View -Provo gymnastics meet, Wednesday, March 3 with a total fo G0.2G points. Mountain View nabbed first place at 131.37 counters and Provo finished in third place at 50.44. Uintah's Janet Hanks nabbed first place in the vault with an average of 9.4. She had scores of 9.4 and 9.5. Lori Carter of Mountain View captured second place at 9.2, and she had scores of 9.4 and 9 0. Misty Henrie of Mountain View netted third place with an average of 9.15. She had tallies 6.6, 6.5 and 6.6. Hess placed sixth at 6.55. She had scores of 6.2 and 6.9. Uintah's Annie Harris pocketed an average of 6.0 in the beam. She had two scores of 6.0. Husch had an average of 6.8 and she had scores of 5.4 and 6.2. Competing in the event for Provo were: Carter, 4.95; Nielsen, 3.37; Carter, 5.25 and Nielson, 5.1. Uintah's Hanks netted fifth place in the uneven parallel bars at 6.25. She had scores of 6.0 and 6.5. Muir nabbed first place at 8.9. She had scores of 8 8 and 9.0. Carter of Mountain View placed second at 8.30. She had 8.5 and 8.1 tallies. Messick netted third place at 7.50. She had scores of 7.6 and 7.4. Hess placed fourth at 6.8. She had two scores of 6.8. Henrie netted sixth place at 6.1. She had scores of 6.0 and 6.2. Harris of Uintah had an average of 5.1 and Squires of Mountain View had a 5.75 average. Harris' scores were 5.2 and 5.0. Vernal Junior High's gymnastics team will take on the Eagles in Duchesne March 11 and will host West, March 18. The Panthers will encounter the Rough Riders in Roosevelt, March 25.
