Show CAMP TOKAWANA Camp Tokawana held its March meeting at the home of daughter Sharon Evertscn. The prayer was given by Alice Ay cock, the pledge of allegiance was led by Dona Sevy and Dorothy Hcin led in singing, accompanied ac-companied by Eva Hatch. The meeting was conducted by 1st vice-captain, vice-captain, Eleanor Rust, in the absence of Captain Geraldine Powell. Thirteen members were present. Eva Hatch has been appointed as chairman of the nominating committee. Others will be appointed later. Delores Stephensen read more from the life of her great great grandfather, grand-father, Richard Rushton, Sr. and his family. She also gave some history of George Wardle. The lesson, entitled "Early Elementary Schools," was given by class leader, Sharon Evertscn. Later there was some discussion on some of the early schools that the members had attended. It was reported that Daughter Arlean Chivers will celebrate her birthday bir-thday on March 1 1 and all were invited to visit her at the rest home. She Is the oldest member of our camp. The door prize was won by Mabel Neilx-rger, and a lunch was served by the hostess, assisted by Delores Stephenxnn and Phyllis llarwnrd. The next me'llnj will be held April 2 at t 1m home of Keva Anderson. |
