Show Gun club members nab honors Seventeen shooters competed in a I'intah Basin Hand Gunners Shoot. Saturday. Jerry Tamlin. Craig, placed first in the AAA standing with a score of 26. Tamlin broke the old record, which was owned by Ken Hayden of Rangely at 25. Roger Morton. Lehi. placed first in the A class at 12 and Billy Cook placed first in another class at ten. Morton also captured first place in the unlimited AAA class at 39 and netted top honors in the single shot production of AA class at 30. Herb Brusman. Craig, garnered first place in the AA division in the unlimited group at 34 and Richard Goodw in won first place in the A class at 30. Max McCoy, A class, netted first place in the revolver division at 24 and Dan Merrell nabbed first place in another class in the revolver division at 9. Hansen won a year membership to the International Handgun Metallic Silouette Association. The contestants shoot steel silhouette chickens at 50 meters, silhouette pigs at 100 meters, silhouette turkeys at 150 meters and silhouette rams at 200 meters. The next shoot will take place on April 3. |
