Naples residents at the meeting were concerned that the annexation of the industrial area would jeopardize their incorporation. City Manager Kenneth Bassett explained ex-plained to the Naples people that the process of annexation, would take, depending on the size, up to a month or longer to process. Mayor Snyder said that he wasn't against the incorporation of Naples City, but that if the annexation were to be filed for the industrial area, it would be treated as any other annexation petition and not delayed. City Attorney David Burningham's legal opinion supported the Mayor's comments. The council decided that they would proceed with the annexation petition, if submitted, as it would with any other annexation, and if there were any controversy with Naples being incorporated, in-corporated, they would let the courts solve that problem. The council also approved an in crease in season passes to the golf course. The new fees will be for men, $150; ladies, $150; couples, $275; family, $250; senior citizens, $100; and junior season passes, $50. Green fees were increased to $3 per round weekdays week-days and $3.50 weekends and holidays. The council also passed an amend- . ment to their business license ordinance or-dinance to require wholesale truckers who made deliveries in the city to purchase a city business license. Councilman Jack Stagg made the motion to approve the amendment and the motion passed. |
