Show Ballard Telintha Rasmussen Phcne 722-4875 V J Water trustee election Election of two trustees for Ballard Water Improvement will be held Dec. 5, 1979. There are four running, Verden Heaton, Orlan Cook, Bob Sheedy and Brent Bastian. Election will be held in Ballard Church. Be sure to vote. Mrs. Bonnie Slagle spent four days in the Vernal hospital last week with pneumonia, she is now at home and feeling better. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Crellin and two children from Monterey, CA., have moved into the old Jack Birchell home. Mr. Crellin is a Social Service Planner for the Uintah Basin Association of Government. Donald Womack reported his LDS mission last Sunday in Sacrament meeting in Ballard Ward. Special guests who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Reed Birchell, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Womack and Donald's grandmother, Thelma Womack, all from Vernal. Beatrice Lundberg and Maree Burk-man Burk-man drove to Cedar City last Friday; David Cropper joined them at Delta. They had received a special invitation from the University of Southern Utah to attend the football game and at half-time, half-time, Beatrice's son, Terry, along with two other outstanding athletes from USU were honored. They were Doyle Simkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Simkins of Cedar City and Ron Mayne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Mayne of Salt Lake City. These three boys were all accidentally killed after finishing college. The parents each received a jersey with their son's name and number on it. All the boys were married and left a wife and children. Work is progressing on the town and county building. They are now in the process of fencing the ten acres before unloading the material for the building. The plaas are to have it finished by spring. Laddy Timothy from Kaysville was here at his aunt's, Telintha Rasmussen. Iaddy's mother bought Telintha's car and he came to drive it to Kaysville for her. Laddy grew up here in Bullard. North Ballard Wards Christmas Fair held last Friday night was very successful. suc-cessful. A large crowd attended. Bonnie Slagle and Mourinc Hobbs birthdays were both November 10. Mrs. Slagle's daughter, Pat, presented each with a beautiful birthday cake. |
