'Pink Ladies' seek help As a "Pink Lady" in the Uintah County Coun-ty Hospital one would find herself renting ren-ting televisions, giving ice and water to patients, decorating the entrance to the hospital or refilling the pop and candy machines. "I started four years ago," said Barbara Bar-bara Rada, president of the "Pink Ladies" auxiliary. 'It's very rewarding to help the sick, someday I may be in their situation and I would want this service." To be a "Pink Lady" requires a couple cou-ple of hours preparation and four to five hours weekly. "Right now we are short three shifts and we have to double up," Mrs. Rada said. The auxiliary has 24 active members that volunteer with shifts from 9-1, 1-5 and 5-9. The group has five non-floor members also. Since the first of the year the ladies have volunteered over 3,500 service hours. "In the new hospital we are promised to have even more responsibilites," Mrs. Rada said. Persons interested in being a "Pink Lady" can contact Leah Anderson 789-2997, Oletta White 789-2407, and Barbara Bar-bara Rada 789-4246. |
