Show Tribute to gardens guide Dear Editor, Sometimes human generosity and kindness are shown in such a sincere way that it deserves to be made public. Such was the case on Nov. 14 here in Vernal. I work for the Utah State University Education Center. On Nov. 14 two ladies from USU in Logan came to Vernal to tour the area. Neither had been to Vernal before. In thinking of ways to make their visit more memorable, we thought of showing them the Dinosaur Gardens. The regular hours at the Field House are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and I realized our guests could not arrive until after 5 p.m. However, I contacted Mr. Dee Hall at the Field House and he said he would be happy to stay late so the Dinosaur Gardens might be available. When our guests arrived, Mr. Hall gladly allowed them to view the Gardens Gar-dens and then gave them a personalized tour of the entire Field House. He used the biggest portion of his evening helping us make their trip more memorable. He never rushed us or made us feel that he would have preferred to be elsewhere. Our guests left Vernal vowing to tell others of the wonderful people and atmosphere here, mainly because of one kind man. Many thanks, Mr. Hall, for putting your consideration of others above that of your own. Your kindness will be t remembered for a long time. Thanks again, Patty Ann Merrell, Executive Secretary, ' USU Education Center |
