Hunters gain bucks The muzzleloader hunt in the Uintah Basin was quite successful, according ac-cording to Clair Davis, law enforcement and education officer in the Northeast Region of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. "There were several bucks taken. We had pretty good conditions con-ditions for the muzzleloader muz-zleloader hunt. It was quite enjoyable for those who did hunt with muz-zleloaders. muz-zleloaders. Deer were taken pretty much throughout the region. Most of the muz-zleloaders muz-zleloaders were from the local area," stated Davis. "Pheasant hunting success was good, but it was a little less than last year. As far as the long term average was concerned con-cerned it was a pretty good hunt," said Davis. "The pheasant hunt was spotty, but was generally good. The success depended on the amount of pressure in each given area."
