Show School Board reviews personnel matters The Uintah County School Board met in a special meeting Friday, Nov. 16 to discuss personnel matters. Lyle Southam, principal of Maeser Elementary, requested that the board allow educational projects, for each grade level in the school, in which the ' students will earn and handle monies. The request violates board policy of not allowing students to make money during school hours. "Funds acquired," says Southam in a letter to the board, "will stay within the class to provide special activities for the students involved." The board moved to discuss the . matter at the next board meeting. The board went into executive session for two hours to discuss personnel matters. On coming out of executive session the board approved accesses to the Clayton Slaugh property, 40 acres in Naples, recently purchased by the board. The meeting ended at 7 p.m. and the next board meeting will be Dec. 13. |
