The Jensen Water Improvement District will hold elections Dec. 5 to elect two new board members. The place and names to be published later. Sunday evening, Nov. 25, Elder Glade So wards will be featured at a fireside for all over 14 for slides and remarks about his trip to China. The men's and women's choirs have been practicing separately and together; preparing for the Christmas cantata. The men's choir sang a special number at church Sunday. Norris Harrison was a guest at the Ross Snow home Nov. 19. While visiting he recalled how four years ago he lost his hand in a tractor accident, on an icy cold evening and was helped by Jack Munn. Many families are planning get-to- 1 gethers for the day of Thanksgiving. Edgar and Amanda Jones visited Jose Stewart on her birthday. A family dinner that evening in honor of Jose's special day was at the home of her son, Gene, in Vernal. Diane K. Morton and three small children left by plane for Biloxi, Miss. Wed. Her son had his tonsils removed last week so they couldn't leave when her husband, John had to return. LDS missionaries from Jensen ward serving full time missions are: Elder Joseph B. Allen, Mar-Dean Apt. 9, Borrego Springs, Calif., 92004; Elder Scott Ruppe, Apostodo 2339, San Jose, Costa Rica, Central America. Blanche and Velda Wilkins, Ilia Peterson and Gertrude Turner attended at-tended the dinner at Diamond Hills Cafe, Nov. 15, sponsored by the BPW Club honoring Shirley Wilkins as Vernal's "Woman of the Year." Mr. and Mrs. Richard Tolley took their son, Travis, to Provo for further tests. Travis has been in the Duchesne Co. Hospital at Roosevelt recovering from a kidney infection. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Turner received word from their son, Loyal, that he will graduate from boot training in the U.S. Navy at San Diego, Calif, this week. His parents plan to attend the graduation exercises. Larry Moon has been in Orem and Salt Lake visiting his sisters prior to going td Calif., where he plans to enter college. He was home this weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Stubbs and sons have sold their home up by Crawford MacKnights to the Scott Dukes and are presently living with Daniel's parents in Davis Ward. The "Ward Marrieds" had a most enjoyable evening Friday 16. Three skits were presented which kept the audience constantly laughing. Daniel and Mary Ellen Stubbs were present. The group gave them some small "going away" rememberances. Dennis and Marty Sharp have been working many hours overtime in their new house in order to be prepared for the wintery months ahead. Jolene Snow accompanied Mary Karren to Salt Lake City last week. Marie Peterson of Rock Springs, Wyoming, visited her parents, the Blake Petersons, and other relatives in Jensen and Vernal over the weekend. Tracy Haslem from BYU visited his grandparents Sat. and Sunday. His grandmother, Ruth, is still a patient at Uintah Co. Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Murray and Enola Montgomery motored to Salt Lake last week, where Mrs. Murray was checked by her doctor. They returned by Provo where they visited Lori Montgomery. Ain and Vera Caldwell were recent visitors in Jensen. Auer Warren, with a full-length cast on one leg, is home from St. Marks Hospital. His brother. Newel, and wife, Marily, from Rangely visited Auer and Rita recently. Melanie Hewett and Celeste Warren visited their father, Auer Warren, while he was in Salt Lake. Martin and Ruth Evans visited Blanche Wilkins and relatives of Jensen last week. Meril and Mary Nell Snow motored to Ogden to attend the livestock show returning via Salt Lake where Meril checked with his doctor and where more tests were taken. Sat. the Meril Snows returned to Ogden to bring the bull home which Mirel had purchased at the Ogden sale. Mont Warren, a student at BYU, recently spent the weekend at home and while here he was visited by Ricky Massey, from Rangely. DUP camp Kscalante held the Nov. meeting at tlie home of daughter, Thoebe Moon. Captain Joan Ainge conducted. Plarw for the Dec. meeting were formulated.
