GALLANTRY CITATION IS GIVEN SANDY MAN A citation has boon given to a Sandy-soldier, Sandy-soldier, Corporal Alva D. Butler, for gallantry in action, according to information infor-mation received yesterdav by his father, fath-er, Bishop A. J. Butler of Sandv, Utah. Corporal Butler enlisted with . the 145th field artillery and trained ..with the Utah regiment at Camp Kearny, leaving in April with tho overseas replacement re-placement draft. He saw bitter fighting fight-ing on the front and was cited in orders for his brilliant work during an offensive offen-sive on August 10, 1918. He was awarded award-ed his citation on March 7, 191!..
